Dear Xcel, Tri-State and Government Officials:
We need to secure reliable energy for the San Luis Valley region and we must find the best way for the region to benefit from renewable energy development.
However, I believe that:
- Protecting the natural beauty and integrity of the San Luis Valley is very important.
- The San Luis Valley’s energy future can be secured without sacrificing the region’s natural and scenic treasures.
- The residents of Southern Colorado and the San Luis Valley deserve the best possible solution to this issue.
- Reasonable alternatives to the utilities’ transmission proposal are not being adequately considered.
I support the call for a fair and thorough examination of all reasonable alternatives by the utilities and local, state and federal authorities.
