The utilities need three major approvals from federal, state and county officials to move forward with their proposed project. As each of these separate decision-making processes move forward, it is important for your voice to be heard.
We encourage you to contact your elected officials and tell them that we don’t need to sacrifice all that makes the San Luis Valley unique in order to secure our energy future.
We also hope you will join the hundreds of other concerned Coloradans who have taken the Smart Valley Energy Pledge, urging Xcel, Tri-State and government officials to evaluate all options so that the best possible energy alternatives for the San Luis Valley and Colorado can be identified.
